Blast from the Past Blog Posts Part 1

Sorry guys but I haven't checked out the sites from my very first blog post about the Reciprocal Review Carousel. Instead, I'll be looking back through the blog posts I made 5 years ago.

I can't imagine that I just made only 35 posts. Yes, I'm not a very good writer but could have posted more.  

Today, I'll be looking back at my first 7 posts and try to remember what I've been doing during those times.

1. 10.02.07 - The 5-second weird coughing pig video was my very first and also the last that I've done. Although this is just all crap, drawn from Paint and animated using Windows Movie Maker, it's quite fun learning how to turn a simple drawing into something cartoonish. Adobe wasn't that popular before so I just used whatever software is available. 
2. 10.03.07 - Unfortunately, I can't figure out what this post is about because it's blank. I don't know why, perhaps I attached an image that has is no longer available online. 
3. 10..03.07 - Wow, and I just made another post at the same day? I mentioned earlier that Adobe wasn't that popular but yeah, I am trying to learn how to use Photoshop CS2 and researched for some cool brushes that I can use. This is a post showcasing my first attempt on graphic design using a computer. Some banners for a local gig here in Iloilo, I designed it for free. The organizers were very close friends of  mine so it's no big deal really.
4. 10.05.07 - Hmmm, a video from one of my fav bands, Otep. I don't know why but when I checked the post today, I can't view the video anymore because of demographic restrictions. 
5. 10.16.07 - The hottest video I posted was not really that "hot" as what you have in mind. Some fat guy just kidding around with hot sauce. It made my day so I thought it's worth sharing.
6. 10.17.07 - A random doodle on a scratch paper, a fat disgusting man that no one would like to bump into. 
7. 12.03.07 - Another graphic design, a logo for my friend's org also here in Iloilo and perhaps, it has been replaced already. Anyway, this one is worth 4 bottle of beer.

Blast from the Past Link Building Tactics

Whoa! It's been almost... 3 and a half years when I last updated this blog.

If you're wondering what I've been up to lately, you can visit my other crappy website here. It's a paid one and I'm publishing most of my work there. I'm offering services that include WordPress blog setup, WordPress Themes customization, header/logo/banner design, CD/DVD cover design and t-shirt design.

Yeah, things have changed, a lot. I'm really very busy these days, life is tougher and Google is meaner. You know what I mean.

Starting today, I'll be looking back on how things have gone way back when I was still a newbie in the blogging industry, where there were only a few competitors and fewer self-proclaimed experts.

My very first blog post is about this super cool link building tactic (October 2, 2007), the Reciprocal Review Carousel. I don't think it still works today but it was a fun experience trying this one out. I got to review a couple of sites in just one post. I'm not sure though if the sites still exist so I'll be checking them out and update you in my next post.

This crappy blog was rarely updated and yet, it managed to attract a number of visitors. Thank you very much for taking the time to browse my crappy blog posts. I do hope you still find them interesting despite of how old they are.
